Is there, like, any reason to go to a place like this?

No photos

My camera's ready to roll!

Low score

I've got nothing but useless photos! Guess I should go and give it another shot, huh?

Low photos

These shots so far won't cut it, eh? Can't write an article with just these.

Level 1
Scene 1

Way easy. Photos like these are just for practice, so I'll throw 'em away later.

Scene 2

Sure was a good harvest this year, dude! There's so much rice left over she can just throw a bunch at me. It'll totally attract animals from the mountain, too.

Scene 3

She's hitting trees really hard and then hiding in the leaves. That's... that thing, right? That thing where people hit trees while wearing padded clothing. To blow off steam and stuff.

Scene 4

I think wild festivals are awesome. I mean, there's nothing like a wild festival, right? Like those saury fish from Meguro Acala. After all, I can't write anything about boring festivals.

Scene 5

These are those really flashy leaves again. Seeing cherry blossoms dance is pretty, but falling leaves are kinda sad. Autumn can be really depressing.

Scene 6

So sweeeet! This sweet smell is totally unfair. It makes me want to slack off. I'm gonna take some sweet potatoes home today.

Level 2
Scene 1

Ewww, people who are always just jealous are totally creepy. But I guess it's thanks to them that the articles are interesting. I wonder if they're happy because everybody looks down on them.

Scene 2

I wonder if it's a bad idea to touch the Nagashibina. I mean, they're filled up with all sorts of bad luck, right? Guess I better keep clear of them.

Scene 3

Wow, what's she all jealous about, dude? This kinda feels like an incident or something. Maybe she needs to blow off a little steam? She's totally gonna go psycho.

Scene 4

These Nagashibina are totally lifelike. But maybe the river moves too fast. They won't sit still, so it's really hard to take nice pictures.

Scene 5

I heard humans set fire to each others' houses when they've got grudges. It's bad to give stuff like that to people who aren't used to their emotions. They're useful, but they can backfire.

Scene 6

Oh, so those were the cursed dolls that I'd heard rumors about. Great timing. Maybe I'll take one to give myself more material. "Terrifying Cursed Dolls!" or something like that.

Level 3
Scene 1

Should I write a story about the style of these demonic items? She carries diseases, so I'm sure the humans must hate her. She should, like, team up with a pharmacist and start a business.

Scene 2

Whoa, it's an umbrella monster! It's interesting that you don't see these possessed objects that often. I guess maybe because people don't hold onto stuff for as long anymore?

Scene 3

How can she stand being in that tiny bucket? There's no way I'd could do something like that. And how am I supposed to take a picture of her while she's hiding in there?

Scene 4

So the horizontal threads are sticky, but the vertical ones aren't, huh? I wonder why she doesn't make them all sticky.

Scene 5

A rainbow! Rainbows run away so quickly. I know I'm really fast, but I can never keep up with them. I should at least snap a picture of it.

Scene 6

Ah, she's faster than I thought. I totally can't catch her. Maybe I should write about what I imagine it's like to live in a bucket. I bet it's like being a crab or a turtle or something...

Scene 7

Groooooooss, look at all the spiders, dude! Why do spiders have so many legs and eyes? The spider industry's gotta be totally stylish.

Scene 8

Possessed umbrellas throw tons of umbrellas at people. I totally don't get what going through their heads. Do they want to be taken care of or to be treated like garbage?

Level 4
Scene 1

The kappas were the ones who made my camera! They can be kinda rude, but they're really good at high-tech stuff. Another great thing about their machines, is that they're entirely waterproof!

Scene 2

Ah, it's Momiji the white wolf tengu, huh? It looks like she can't get along with Aya, I wonder why... Maybe they just have a cat-and-dog relationship.

Scene 3

Almost nobody can keep up with kappa underwater, y'know~ If I can capture that arrogance, would that be like taking away their freedom? As they say, the pen is mightier than the water.

Scene 4

When humans come all the way here, does she chase them away by biting them like this...? And then adds hydrophobia because this place is full of water? It makes sense, I guess.

Scene 5

Isn't it cold playing in water with her clothes on like that? I just don't get amphibians. I mean, salamanders and stuff are, like, just food.

Scene 6

Aya doesn't seem to like her, but this white wolf tengu sure has good eyes... and she has a good nose too, really amazing. Well, isn't it better to write an article about her strong points?

Scene 7

Eek, it's shirikodama~! These are way stinky~! Maybe she's actually a gourmet? I mean, she eats delicacies like these. But I think meat is totally better than that offal kinda stuff.

Level 5
Scene 1

Ooh, it's a monk, dude! There've been rumors among the human kids that she controls some humongous old geezer youkai.

Scene 2

Ooh, boat spirits have, like, those bottomless dippers, right? Wasn't there some kinda spirit that puts water into boats with a dipper? Can't scoop in water with a bottomless ladle!

Scene 3

There it is! That big ol' Nyuudou's fists sure are faster than I thought. Hope I can get some good shots of 'em. If I can, maybe I can do an article on Nyuudou shoulder massages.

Scene 4

Getting hit by an anchor that size would totally sink a ship! Hmmm, so the way to sink ships has changed, huh? Guess I can deal with the dipper being bottomless, then!

Scene 5

Wow, he sure is huge! Too big for my camera to shoot! Wait. Didn't the kappa say it had a "panorama function" or some junk? I wonder how you use that...

Scene 6

Huh? She CAN scoop water! And I checked that the dipper had no bottom, too. Guess you really can do anything if you put your mind to it.

Scene 7

That Nyuudou looks huge, but his real body is tiny. His true form seems to be a secret, so I guess I should look into that. So, like, what's "nyoki", anyway?

Scene 8

She looks a lot like a sailor, but she's a ghost, all right! Taking pics of ghosts is hard. All that ghost photography out there are just lies. Real ghosts are blurry and tough to shoot.

Level 6
Scene 1

Uh-oh, I totally met an oni! The Great Tengu says to avoid too much contact with oni, but is he trying to hide some crime? Or maybe he's trying to keep us from getting close?

Scene 2

Restricting my contact with oni... is what they say to do, but no way am I gonna do that after meeting someone this newsworthy! Now, I'm gonna write all kinds of articles!

Scene 3

It's a super-high pressure spiral. Spinning around in this intimidating atmosphere like that, there's no way your head wouldn't start spinning too. It's totally power abuse.

Scene 4

Huh? So when she plucks out a hair, it turns into a little oni? She should be limited to about a hundred thousand then, but they come out when she breathes, too. They're endless, huh?

Scene 5

Not knowing where you're being attacked from is totally scary! Facing this kind of ability, maybe it's best to just jump into her arms. It'd be easier to see the flow of power that way.

Scene 6

It's like being able to see your breath on a cold day, but an oni's sigh is just really hot. Maybe her body's burning up from all that alcohol.

Scene 7

I heard a yell so loud I totally thought I was at a screaming contest. Oni are almost as violent as thunder gods when they show up. And that's not a good thing.

Scene 8

She's huge! She won't fit in my viewfinder! I guess I should have another camera ready if I want to be a perfect reporter. Would printing a drawing in my paper be too shady?

Level 7
Scene 1

Bishamonten? Was Bishamonten supposed to be a tiger? This girl's kinda sketchy. It's a newspaper reporter's job to unmask people like her!

Scene 2

Mice usually fill up a house when a blizzard is coming. But then they just get wiped out by rat poison anyway. Even when humans use them for experiments or whatever, nobody feels bad for them.

Scene 3

"As Seen by the Tengu! The Hungry Bishamonten's True Nature!" Seems good. But I'm going to need better pictures, don't I? Maybe using a mouse as bait? Taking good ones then will be easy!

Scene 4

Like, whoa, dude! I thought mice just stashed stuff, but they can find coins, too! Not bad for a little vermin.

Scene 5

Oh, she's getting really god-like in her confusion. I totally know she's not one, though. Her real form's just a beast youkai.

Scene 6

Dude, seriously? She dug up, like, real gold and stuff? I'm a little suspicious. Maybe I should give up on writing an article on her and just tame her instead.

Scene 7

What's with this? If she were just a supernatural beast, it would be so unnecessarily flashy. So is this the power that fools so many humans?

Level 8
Scene 1

A cat? A pretty nimble one, too. I have a feeling that she isn't just a bakeneko! I need to do a follow-up investigation!

Scene 2

Oh, so that's the rumored second sun. It's famous for causing the hot springs. I don't really understand nuclear fusion but it sure looks impressive.

Scene 3

Ah, thought she wasn't just a bakeneko--she's a kasha! Collecting corpses seems to be her hobby, but how is that fun? Maybe it's just that collectors are weird people.

Scene 4

A sun that never stops! Days get shorter at this speed, that'd be fun! Every day will be a lot of fun!

Scene 5

Ugh, corpses everywhere! Corpses that can't be repelled by taking pictures are nasty! Is this why she collected corpses? Yuck!

Scene 6

It's so hot, dude! Hot springs are totally no good if you boil in them. You gotta go in really slowly. And bring booze.

Scene 7

Random Walk, is that like the zigzagging of a drunken person? For cats, would catnip make them Random Walk? If she's embarrassed to be like this, then it's great material!

Scene 8

The Big Dipper, right? Isn't that, like, the giant's ladle? When that ladle flips around, a buncha comets come falling down. Maybe I should write an article to convey that feeling.

Level 9
Scene 1

There used to be many satori on the mountain, as well. They were probably either disliked by everyone or got tired of reading other people's minds, so they locked themselves up underground.

Scene 2

Whoa, a second satori! She can read my fun-loving mind all she wants. So like, what should I think about? I know, a banquet!

Scene 3

Such an aggressive satori, I thought she'd be more of a defensive youkai. What's she blowing up? Everyone's distress?

Scene 4

Huh? She's not reading my fun-loving mind. Heck, she doesn't even seem to be listening to me. Is she being an airhead? And what's DNA anyway?

Scene 5

Uhh, maybe I can get her by taking a picture without thinking... But it's totally hard to not think about anything! Satori are pretty crafty, huh.

Scene 6

Mmm, is this a dream or something? I took some totally amazing pictures, but like, ancient Earth? What kind of power does this satori have?

Scene 7

Huh? I might've seen this danmaku in Aya's newspaper before. It reaches even the satori underground, I'm jealous! "My newspaper is more interesting!" Hey, read my mind!

Scene 8

It's, like, rose hell. Roses have a strong smell, but if you've got nasal inflammation, it smells totally weak. Maybe that's why it's hell, or something.

Level 10
Scene 1

I sure wish the celestials didn't come down from heaven so much. For humans, the sinners go into the ground, the commoners go to the Netherworld, and the beloved get shut up in heaven, right?

Scene 2

A rare youkai! An oarfish? They don't show themselves to people much. Feels like a scoop! I wonder what they taste like?

Scene 3

Dude! There's pickled stones falling from the sky! How romantic! If the sky's full of those, then I can totally make a sweet combination platter.

Scene 4

Seems like the messenger of the Dragon Palace gets to borrow a little of the Dragon God's power. I'm so jealous. The pen is mightier than the sword, but it can't beat a dragon.

Scene 5

The pickled stones are hot now! Temperature-wise! Maybe just warming them up makes them pickle faster? I'll take one home for a story!

Scene 6

I wonder where the Dragon Palace is? I think if I snuck in for a story, then I would have the most subscribers! But then everyone would be too scared of the dragon's wrath to read it.

Scene 7

What is this? Hatred, jealousy, sadness from separation... It's dying to be made into a news article! There are positive emotions in the lump, too, though.

Scene 8

I'm so jealous of her being able to swim in the clouds! The river is now full of kappas and smells a bit like blood... I want to see the open ocean one more time...

Level 11
Scene 1

Looks like she's the new god of the mountain, huh? She's so obviously trying to use the tengu's power. 'Course, the Great Tengu trying to use the power of faith is kind of obvious too.

Scene 2

Looks like a frog goddess. To tell the truth, I don't get her. It looks like she lives at the mountain shrine, but I wonder what her relationship with Lady Kanako is. Like a frozen dinner?

Scene 3

A snake~! I heard if you put snakeskin in your purse it'll make you rich. I should totally skin one if I catch it.

Scene 4

Huh? I thought she was just throwing jades, but... If you look closely, there are fox stones mixed in! The colors are different, so you can tell where she was being stingy.

Scene 5

Dude, festivals sure are nice! Not having to care about rank and status is really awesome. Informal parties are a dream! They're the only time I can butt heads with the Great Tengu!

Scene 6

Iron rings, huh. It's scary how sharp they are! Can you even use them for anything other than throwing at people you don't like? I don't really get why people can have these kinds of things.

Scene 7

I captured the Omiwatari's moment of creation! She sure can do it fast~! But I guess I'd need consecutive photography or something to get that across.

Scene 8

Huh? N-no, that's not right! I didn't blow anything up, okay? Seriously, okay? But... I wonder what did blow up.

Level 12
Scene 1

She's, like, a nun~ Aren't nuns forbidden to eat meat and fish, and drink sake? What's fun about that kind of life?

Scene 2

I captured the nue! Wait, this thing in the photo is a nue? Aren't nue supposed to look like a monkey, or a tiger? Mmm, well, I guess it was someone else. I'll write about it~

Scene 3

The monk's stories are boring. If there aren't any pew pews and booms then the story's not interesting. Aaah, is someone killed yet? The culprit?

Scene 4

Ooh, I found the mysterious man from the rumor! If someone in the bathroom asks "Do you want a red cloak or a blue one?", just respond "What I want is your life" and he should be satisfied.

Scene 5

I, like, don't really get it, but it's totally bright! This divinity is on the same wavelength as the sun. So basically, it means all my photos are backlit. This god is my enemy!

Scene 6

Hanako-san? Oh, Hanako-san! I did a little research on her earlier, and she's sort of like a shy ghost. Seems like she was, like, constipated, and ended up hiding in the toilet.

Scene 7

This monk is really good! You can't see it in the pictures, but to prepare a doctrine holding down my power... looks like she has lots of hidden magical powers!

Scene 8

Circles and squares and triangles... I don't really get it, but this danmaku, like, makes you really cheerful, huh? The world is still full of mysteries!

Level EX
Scene 1

"No Newspaper Solicitations, thank you"? Such impertinence. Even though she knows a sticker like this is, like, pointless~ Wait, the stickers... became talismans...

Scene 2

Ah, this human shows up on the mountain all the time. It looks like Aya always hides her, but, like, everyone notices anyway. It'd be pointless to abduct a human who's this grown up, anyway.

Scene 3

She's the new shrine maiden on the mountain. She's a human but she seems like a god. I wonder what's the difference between a god and human. The taste of their meat?

Scene 4

For real, dude? She's totally trying to keep out reporters, huh? She must really hate Aya. Well, her reporting style is so pushy, after all. I'm, like, so much more polite~

Scene 5

These bullets sure are plain. From what I'd heard in rumors, I thought she was a lot flashier than this. I wonder if she lives a flashy lifestyle... although her house was real empty.

Scene 6

A frog explodes and a bunch of other frogs are born?! What's going on here?! Shouldn't a frog's kids be tadpoles? Is this, like, one of her miracles?

Scene 7

Throwing fits like human, and wielding powers like a youkai! She sure is a strange shrine maiden~ I can see why Aya likes to write about her so much~

Scene 8

I got her to show me her really flashy danmaku! But this, like, totally doesn't work for a newspaper. I wonder how I can take a picture that really captures that feeling of speed.

Scene 9

My power's being sucked away! Is this a countermeasure against youkai? But doesn't sucking youkai power make her like a youkai too? Fine with me. She's not human, not god, but more evil...

Scene 5

I've, like, got her in a corner! If Aya came out to talk to me, then doesn't that mean she's getting impatient? If I can beat her here, maybe I'll be able to report on the lower world, too.

Scene 6

Oh, Aya's reporting style is so, like, pushy! Maybe I could learn something from how pushy she is. After all, the people that refuse interviews are, like, the interesting ones, right?

Scene 7

Aya's camera is totally cool! It can take pictures from really far away, huh? Well, I can use thoughtography if I have to, so it totally doesn't matter.

Scene 8

Woah, so this is Aya's real skill as a reporter. Hands-on journalism, literally. I've never been as pushy as this. Maybe arrogant people are better suited for journalism, huh?

Scene 9

So she gave up on the reporting battle and went back to being the usual Aya. Isn't she, like, admitting that she lost? Heehee, that just makes me more confident in my own reporting! Let's go!
