Nice to meet you, I'm ZUN.
What did you think of the Great Fairy Wars? Maybe the controls were a little confusing since they're so different. It's probably wise to get used to them on normal.

Basically, I'd recommend you freeze enemy bullets with the Ice Attack, restore your power with your shot or grazing, and then Ice Attack again right away, which just feels really fun to play.

If you adopt a particularly bold playing style, you'll get lots of extra lives. Don't worry about dying a little and just go out and freeze lots of bullets. Fear doesn't have anything to do with Cirno!

If you don't give some thought to the patterns, you could run into potentially un-dodgeable situations.

Well, this game isn't that hard, overall.

If you think it's too easy, try challenging yourself by seeing how much Motivation you can have left when you clear. You can get quite a considerable clear bonus, but it'll be harder to do so by the end of the extra stage.

Oh, that's right. There's also an extra stage.
If you clear all six routes without using continues (on any difficulty level) you'll be able to choose it on the route selection screen.

I wonder if you'll also enjoy playing it over and over on a moderate difficulty level?

So, the Great Fairy Wars.
Needless to say, the title is a parody of The Great Yokai War (Kadokawa). Since the comic is also published by Kadokawa, I tried to have a little fun with it.

Originally, we'd talked about making an even shorter game (only one stage or so) to bundle with the comics as an extra, but since I'm not really that interested in making a game that short, I thought it would be better to add more volume so players would be satisfied with it, but we ran out of time before publication, so we tossed that plan.

I had "by accident" nothing in the summer Comiket schedule, so we decided to rush to finish it.
Even though there wasn't a lot of time to finish production, I think we succeeded to make it have enough volume and balance. The schedule quickly faded away into mist as production went on, but it was pretty fun to have to pursue it like that. I feel like I've leveled up a bit.

Weeeeell, that's it for this time!
