Old Yuanxian translation?

Apologies if this is the wrong place to put this, but I was wondering, how come Old Yuanxian is translated as it is? As far as I know, Yuanxian isn't an English word. Couldn't it be translated? Or is this a stylistic choice?--Urspelingsuks (talk) 10:48, 14 February 2016 (UTC)

I believe that because the Japanese title is using ユアンシェン to represent Chinese pronunciation, we do the same thing here. I guess for another reason is because it's not very clear as to what this is suppose to mean. It's translatable, but it's deemed very difficult as there are many meanings to this phrase, so using 'Yuanxian' is not really a stylistic choice (although if I were to be a bit stylistic, I'd've used correct pinyin if possible). There's already been a discussion on Touhou Wiki about this, although I can't tell if owt has been concluded. ― Tony ^(Talk/Con.) 19:54, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
