(Custom) Stage, boss, and character titles
These are not part of the original Japanese game, but can optionally be used in translations instead of the original plaintext.
- All sprites have a width of 384 pixels, covering the entire playfield.
- Your translation can pick either ti_sttitle.png or ti_stlogo.png, with the latter taking precedence.
- ti_sttitle.png only covers the rotating stage title. Using this image leaves the non-rotating yellow STAGE text as a hardcoded ASCII string.
- ti_stlogo.png covers both the non-rotating yellow STAGE text and the title itself. The yellow STAGE line would also rotate if this image is used, but it could be translated using non-ASCII characters. Your choice.
- The English version of ti_bossname.png is also part of western_name_order, but you can of course re-upload a custom version for your language if the boss titles in your language end up being longer and you need to shift some of the names for proper centering. Please make a note about this in the translation section if you did, we can then remove all other sprites later once sprite-level patching is supported.
- ti_bosstitle.png and ti_bossname.png are overlaid on top of each other, with the title being rendered above the name, as you would expect. They will only be applied together; if one of the two is missing, you still end up with the plaintext from the scenario scripts.
- If the patch for your language depends on another patch with a translation for any of these images, but you prefer the original plaintext, reupload this file as the translated image for the respective file in your language.
